Some Positive Change Idea’s

In our on personal research and validation there is no question, that we had to change how we thought, how we viewed life, how we communicated, what we read, who we listened to. This was inclusive to be spirit, Soul, and Body.

Let’s lay the foundation to start our conversation. Scripture offers several insights on the concept of changing our minds, often emphasizing the importance of transformation and renewal. Here are a few passages that speak to this idea:

  • Romans 12:2: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” This verse encourages believers to change their thinking to align with God’s will.

  • Ephesians 4:23: “And that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,” suggesting that a change in mindset is part of the process of spiritual growth.

  • Matthew 18:3: “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.” This implies a need for a fundamental change in perspective to embrace the values of the kingdom.

That said, scripture further suggest that changing our mind is not just about altering our opinions, but about a deeper transformation that aligns us with divine principles and leads to personal and spiritual growth. Applying scriptural principles to your life involves integrating the teachings and values found in scripture into your daily actions and decisions. Here are some steps to help you apply these principles:

·       Prayer and Meditation: Begin by praying for guidance and understanding. Meditate on the scriptures, allowing them to influence your thoughts and actions.

  • Study and Reflection: Regularly read and study scripture to gain a deeper understanding of its teachings. Reflect on how these teachings relate to your life and circumstances1.

  • Application: Identify specific areas of your life where you can apply scriptural principles. This could be in your relationships, work, or personal growth.

  • Commitment: Make a conscious effort to live out the principles you’ve learned. This might involve changing certain behaviors or making different choices based on scriptural guidance.

  • Community: Engage with a community of like-minded individuals who can support and encourage you in applying these principles. Sharing experiences and insights can be beneficial.

  • Accountability: Set goals for yourself and find someone who can hold you accountable to those goals. This could be a mentor, friend, or a group within your faith community.

  • Service: Look for opportunities to serve others, as many scriptures emphasize the importance of service and love towards our neighbors.

Remember, applying scriptural principles is a continuous journey of growth and transformation. It’s about aligning your life more closely with the values and teachings of your faith.

To elaborate further. Our Methodology practice applies AGILE (Allowing God In our Life Everyday) foundational principles.  To elaborate Agile reframing is about changing the perspective on a situation to see it in a new light. Here’s an example:

  • Original Situation: You’re leading your ship, and your home has misunderstanding, miscommunication, and or misdirection. The initial reaction might be frustration and concern over the home’s direction.

  • Reframed Situation: Instead of viewing the mishap as a failure, you could reframe it as an opportunity for learning and growth. You might say, “This mishap has highlighted areas where we can improve our overall communication and management processes. Let’s use this as a chance to come together, identify the bottlenecks, and enhance our collaboration for our purpose.” By reframing, you shift the focus from blame to improvement, creating a more positive and constructive atmosphere that encourages problem-solving and cohesiveness. It’s a powerful psychological tool that can transform challenges into opportunities.

Reframing can be a valuable tool in personal life to cope with challenges and shift your mindset towards a more positive outlook. Here’s how you can apply it:

  • Identify the Negative Thought: Recognize when you have a negative thought or reaction to a situation. For example, if you think, “I never do anything right,” that’s a negative thought pattern.

  • Challenge the Thought: Ask yourself if this thought is truly accurate. Often, our thoughts are based on emotions rather than facts.

  • Find a Positive Angle: Look for a positive or neutral aspect of the situation. For instance, instead of thinking you never do anything right, consider the times you have succeeded and what you learned from past experiences.

  • Create a New Statement: Craft a new thought that is more balanced and constructive. For example, “I may have made a mistake, but I’ve learned from it, and here’s how I’ll approach it differently next time.”

  • Practice: Make a habit of reframing your thoughts. The more you practice, the more natural it will become.

Here’s a practical example:

Original Thought: “I’m stuck in traffic; this is a waste of time.”

Reframed Thought: “This traffic gives me some time to listen to God or my favorite podcast and relax before I get home. “By consistently applying reframing, you can gradually change your thought patterns and improve your overall well-being. It’s about finding the silver lining and focusing on growth and possibilities.

In conclusion, scripture suggests that mindfulness, in the context of being present and aware, aligns with biblical teachings that encourage meditation, reflection, and gratitude. Here are some scriptural insights on mindfulness:

  • Meditation: The Bible encourages meditation on God’s word and works. For example, Psalm 119:15-16 says, "I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways. I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word".

  • Attention and Focus: Scripture often speaks of focusing our thoughts on spiritual truths. Colossians 3:2 says, "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things"2.

  • Gratitude: Being mindful of our blessings and expressing gratitude is a recurring theme in scripture. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 instructs, "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus".

  • Awareness of Thoughts: The Bible encourages self-examination and awareness of our thoughts. 2 Corinthians 13:5 urges us to examine ourselves to see whether we are in the faith.

  • Being Present: Scripture emphasizes the importance of being present and aware of God’s presence. Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still, and know that I am God".

These verses and principles suggest that mindfulness, when practiced with a focus on God’s presence and teachings, can be a valuable spiritual discipline for believers. It’s about being attentive to the present moment while acknowledging and reflecting on divine truths.

Psychological tools play a crucial role in the success of Agile transformation. Here are some additional tools that can help:

  • Psychological Safety: It’s essential for Agile teams to feel they can speak up without fear of repercussion. This safety fosters collaboration and innovation1.

  • Open Communication: Encouraging honest and transparent communication helps in building trust and understanding within the team.

  • Empathy: Understanding and sharing the feelings of others can lead to better collaboration and conflict resolution.

  • Feedback Loops: Regular feedback helps in continuous improvement and adapting to changes quickly.

  • Growth Mindset: Cultivating a mindset that embraces challenges, persists in the face of setbacks, and sees effort as the path to mastery.

  • Servant Leadership: Leaders who prioritize the needs of the team and help people develop and perform as highly as possible.

  • Agile Assessment Tools: Tools that help in evaluating the current state of agility and identifying areas for improvement.

The benefit of Agile (Allowing God In our Life Everyday) referred to as spiritual transformation, are profound and can impact every aspect of a person’s life. Here are some key benefits:

  • Renewed Perspective: Spiritual transformation offers a new outlook on life, aligning one’s values and actions with divine principles.
